CURRENT FAVORITES: Citrus Bliss Vegan Facial Moisturizer by Oriwest

I’ve been using the “Citrus Bliss” vegan facial moisturizer by @Oriwest over the past few days and I’m loving it so far!

If you’re a supporter of small Canadian businesses, Oriwest is definitely one you should be checking out. They source high-quality ingredients and showcase them in beautiful, clean packaging (totally Instagram-worthy and would sooo leave the empty containers around my house simply as decoration haha)

Also, can I say how freaking lovely the packaging is? I’m sorry but I’m totally in love with the design of the whole brand from the packaging of the products to the pamphlets, the brochures, just everything about the brand screams minimal & zen!

Pros

Upon first use, I found the moisturizer to be quite thick for my oily, acne-prone skin. However, a few seconds later I saw it begin to absorb into my skin nicely; leaving a nice, hydrating and smooth texture without the oily residue I absolutely cannot stand with some facial moisturizers.

The best part? It’s completely vegan, organic, paraben free, non-toxic, not tested on animals AND made in Canada! Heyyyy represent!

This moisturizer is nicely infused with organic jojoba oil, coconut oil, aloe leaf juice & a citrus essential oil blend.

As for the smell, it offers a nice crisp and citrus-y smell that’s not too overpowering but with more of a subtle, invigorating scent.

A plus for me would be if it had a natural sunblock in it. You guys know how much I like to protect my skin (with spf 50 or 100 every day haha!)

Cons

I’d say the only flaw about this cream is the jar. I’d much prefer a pump especially since the texture is more of a watery-like consistency so it can get a bit messy (it’s not so bad though). Also, using a pump would be considered more hygienic since you wouldn’t need to stick your fingers into the jar itself in order to get some product.

T I P

The way I like to do it is to flip the jar upside down quickly for a second & then flip back so that the moisturizer runs to the top and I can just apply using the residue (because that’s really all the amount of product I need since it actually contains a ton of product in this little jar).

Conclusion

I’d say for the amount of product you get and the price you are paying for, totally worth it!Seriously, a total bang for your buck!
